Director of Academic Advising

(Student Services Manager I) for the department of Gupta College of Science Advising Center.
Duties include, but are not limited to: manage all academic advising within the assigned area including the processes and staff; supervise and evaluate the performance of a team of academic advisors; handle administrative responsibilities for the advising center including hiring, scheduling and space management; monitor students' academic progress; teach one class per academic year, or fulfill the equivalent teaching responsibility through tutoring, conducting study sessions, or providing workshops for faculty advisors; lead efforts to increase student retention; oversee professional development for the assigned unit; responsible for budgetary oversight; develop annual and departmental objectives to support goal achievement; and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements: A master's degree and at least three (3) years of experience related to advising or mentoring first-year college students. Experience in college orientation/transition programs for new students is desirable.
