The
UM Center for Children, Families, and Workforce Development
(Center) seeks a
Workforce Development Program Coordinator
to assist in training, research and innovation to bolster Montana’s human service, public health, education, and early childhood workforce.
This full-time position would focus on serving in a program coordinator role in the following areas:
Workforce Development Coordination.
Support the coordination of statewide training, including managing registrations, training materials and continuing education units. Prepare online learning module shells for upcoming programs, updates and maintains course content within the learning management system. Build required online course content in learning management system and updates as directed by the project lead. Support principal investigators and projects leads to ensure lead times for course planning are followed, proactively follows up with project leads to ensure course updates are implemented on schedule. Assist in ensuring content writers, evaluators, designers, and project leads submit content on time. Complete quality control checks of course material for consistent formatting, accuracy of dates, links, and general grammar and spelling, identifying, and logging findings with specific feedback to the project lead.
Research/Evaluation Support.
Assist principal investigators in developing research and evaluation methods, collecting research and evaluation data, co-developing reports and data visualization dashboards, and publishing them through the Center’s webpage. Translate research and evaluation findings into accessible formats to increase access and utility of results and findings to Montana leaders and contractors. Aid in self-assessment and evaluation of Center projects including meeting deliverables in a timely fashion and meeting stated outcomes.
The Workforce Program Coordinator will train and manage the work of research assistants who will be working on teams to complete projects.

Position Details
Position is full-time, 1.0 FTE, Letter of Appointment and includes a comprehensive and competitive benefits package

Salary range for this position is $48,000-$52,000 per year, commensurate with qualifications
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in social sciences or related field
One to two years of experience managing projects and/or assisting in conducting research and evaluation.
Experience using local and statewide data to design and improve programs.
Extensive knowledge of the systems that provide mental health, social, educational,
and correctional services to Montana’s child, youth, and families.
Proficiency in software systems that are used to conduct social science research and program evaluation and/or online learning
Research methods commonly used to collect data and make recommendations about how the data can improve program services
Knowledge of project management tools and strategies to manage, organize, and track grant deliverables and to manage statewide trainings
Understand and effectively contribute to ongoing financial monitoring
Understand the multiple systems and responsibilities of the systems that serve Montana’s children, youth, and families particularly those whose health is compromised by social determinants
Demonstrated proficiency in computer skills and knowledge of software programs
Strong organizational and time management skills with an unwavering attention to detail and deadlines
Effectively communicate verbally and in written forms including proficiency in copy-editing
Ability to conduct advanced literature reviews that are relevant to the needs of Montana’s children and families
Learn current and emerging software programs to conduct program evaluation and research and online learning
Experience communicating feedback and coach colleagues and clients professionally to improve eLearning content
Multitask between small and large-scale projects in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented atmosphere
Effectively gauge and complete competing workloads and manage deadlines
A proactive approach to problem-solving
Takes direction and works in a creative team environment, as well as works on projects independently
