Description:
King University School of Nursing is accepting applications for a full-time Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) Concentration Coordinator. This position is for a new concentration and will require development of AGACNP concentration specific courses and oversight of the concentration. The courses will be offered online. The successful candidate will hold an Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Certification, be able to teach courses in a variety of nursing content areas and oversee clinical experiences. Nursing faculty work as a team to ensure student success and provide a supportive student environment. All nursing faculty must be committed to excellent teaching, mentoring students, scholarship, professionalism, and service to the community. This is a full-time, twelve-month contract.
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must hold an MSN from an accredited nursing program; AGACNP Certification required; Unencumbered APRN licensure in TN or eligible; RN licensure in TN or compact multistate or eligible; experience in AGACNP practice; excellent oral and written communication skills; proficiency in the usage of technology; The candidate must have and be able to articulate a personal faith in the Lordship of Jesus Christ and support the mission of King University.
Preferred Qualifications:
Preference will be given to applicants holding an earned DNP or PhD; Previous teaching experience in higher education in online environment; Supervision of students in clinical settings; Experience with course development; Knowledge of NONPF and CCNE accreditation standards.
Responsibilities:
Design AGACNP specific courses and revise/update as needed. Teach didactic courses and oversee clinical experiences; contribute to ongoing course and program evaluation; maintain knowledge of current clinical guidelines and accreditation standards; mentor students; participate on program and university committees; develop and maintain clinical partnerships.
