Description:
King University, a private, comprehensive university founded in the Presbyterian tradition, is seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of Assistant or Associate Professor of Marketing in the School of Business, Economics & Technology. This is a full-time, twelve-month position, beginning in Fall 2020. This position is based at King’s Bristol campus in the beautiful foothills of Northeast Tennessee. Minimum Qualifications:
• PhD or DBA in Marketing
• At least 5 years of full-time teaching experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Qualified applicants will possess a terminal degree in marketing with qualification to teach both marketing and management courses. Evidence of professional content-based marketing communications and technology platforms. Experience using mobile marketing technologies and social media platforms. Experience in the hospitality or a service industry is preferred.
Responsibilities:
• Candidate will be expected to teach 3 courses (12 credit hours) each semester on strategic and tactical aspects of marketing. • Candidate is expected to teach marketing courses, advise students, and participate in departmental and university service. Responsibilities include teaching spring and fall semesters with the option of summer term, in a mix of undergraduate and graduate marketing courses. These include both face-to-face and online formats. • Instructor must be willing to provide a high level of student outreach and have the availability to connect with students, academic advisors and team leaders on a frequent basis. An instructor must also be engaging, offering an increased and innovative presence in the face-to-face or online classroom to best serve the student and facilitate student success. The instructor should expect to provide substantial student feedback and offer a quick turnaround on grades.
