The Faculty of Health has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join its busy Admissions Team based in the John Bull Building at the Plymouth Science Park near Derriford Hospital. The Faculty offers a generous suite of undergraduate and postgraduate courses to supply the healthcare professions and this role will focus primarily on admissions to Medicine, Dentistry and allied programmes of study. Under the direction of the Admissions Team Leader and as a member of the Faculty’s Admissions Team, you will contribute to the delivery of a comprehensive, customer focused, integrated, cost effective and progressive admissions and recruitment service. You will maintain applicant records and enter decisions onto the student record system. You will organise and service meetings and visits, coordinating paperwork, facilities and associated arrangements. Examples include the coordination of student interviews and the Admissions Advisory Panels that make decisions about recruitment. Interface with prospective students, partners and stakeholders to respond to enquiries and provide appropriate advice in a timely manner. You will be required to work evenings and weekends in support of student recruitment activities and over Confirmation and Clearing (mid-August). You will: have experience of working in a customer-facing role. have extensive office administration experience, ideally in an admissions environment. be a skilled team-worker. show excellent accuracy and attention to detail. be able to build relationships and network with a range of stakeholders. have experience of line management (desirable). This is a full-time position working 37 hours per week on a permanent basis and is based at the John Bull Building, Plymouth Science Park.
