We have an exciting opportunity in the Department of Computer Science, for someone to work in an internationally connected, world-leading research team in the Speech and Hearing (SPandH) research group at **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***., which hosts one of the largest concentrations of speech and language researchers in Europe, including a substantial core of researchers working on the intersection of Speech Technology/AI & Healthcare.
You will be conducting research on the latest advances in machine learning methods for speech intelligibility enhancement and speech intelligibility prediction. You will be expected to disseminate research via national and international conferences and journals.
You should hold (or be close to completing) a PhD (or have equivalent experience) in a field related to Speech Technology; Machine Learning for Signal Processing or Applications of Speech Technology to Healthcare, with a proven track record for publication. You should have experience of research software development. The ability to work effectively with both internal colleagues and external collaborators including end-users is also essential.
You will work in the well-connected, world-leading Speech and Hearing (SPandH) research group at **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***., which has a reputation for internationally leading research and is one of the largest such groups in Europe. You will also be collaborating with a diverse team of experts in Neurology, Stakeholder engagement, Machine Learning, Health Economy and commercialisation of Healthcare technology in the CcHAT project.
