Job Description:
The successful candidate for this position will assist in the recruitment, conversion, and enrollment of new full-time international Undergraduate and Graduate students to increase the quality and quantity of such students.
Responsibilities Include:
Participate in all aspects of admissions, student recruitment and marketing including, but not limited to, the representation of the university to wide and diverse audiences within the United States and overseas
Conduct information sessions at US secondary boarding schools, focusing on schools which enroll international students
Assist with relationship management of existing recruitment partners and entities (agents, Education USA, US Commercial Services, China Higher Ed)
Conduct interviews with prospective students in-person and/or virtually
Correspond extensively via in writing, phone, virtual and e-mail with prospective students
Expand use of social media, including posting content, managing traffic and analyzing effectiveness of campaigns
Evaluate Undergraduate credentials from applicants seeking admission
Promote international and multicultural understanding on-campus and in the community at-large
Requirements:
Knowledge and Skills Needed:
Bachelor's degree required.
University admissions experience preferred, knowledge of the principles and best practices involved with international recruitment and admissions in a university setting.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational skills.
Highly motivated, self-starter, independent worker, able to prioritize and initiate.
Attention to detail.
Willingness to occasionally work unconventional hours.
International travel as needed.
Experience traveling overseas preferred.
Valid passport.
Valid US driver's license.
Ability to provide excellent customer service to diverse constituents.
Additional Information:
Working with populations across global time zones requires flexible work hours which are atypical to a forty (40) hour, Monday - Friday work week. Additional evening and weekend hours may be necessary as required by international travel, projects, work-load, deadlines or special events.
