Working in the School of Mechanical, Aerospace & Automotive Engineering, you will be committed to contributing to our continued success. The candidate must be able to make significant contributions to the delivery of Engineering/Manufacturing Strategy and Financial Analysis focused modules to various cohorts of students including part time industrial students. The candidate must be fluent with Engineering/Manufacturing Strategy concepts, philosophies and techniques including new product introduction, innovation management from concept to market as well as environmental management practices. Additionally the candidate will have expertise in financial analysis and related decision making concepts and associated tools and techniques. Both academic and industrial experience of Strategy and Financial Decision Making issues in the manufacturing industry would be advantageous as would a Professional Body membership.
The candidate should have the ability to enhance and improve the current material and virtual learning platform and as such should have a specialism relating the discipline into an Engineering environment, which should typically include Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Aerospace Sectors or Manufacturing. PLEASE NOTE that experience of delivering this subject matter within an engineering context is essential.
The candidate should have extensive relevant industrial experience at a senior level or be qualified to PhD level in a relevant subject. Experience of working in professional practice/consultancy projects will be advantageous
You will need to share our passion for delivering a positive student experience that puts excellence in teaching and learning at the heart of everything we do and will be able to demonstrate significant knowledge in your area of specialisation and support the school’s research culture.  You must be willing to work flexibly and promote and support international partnerships, as well as potentially delivering teaching onsite at one of our international partners.
The position is primarily open to candidates who wish to focus on teaching practice, development and management.  However, successful candidates will also have the opportunity to conduct relevant commercial activity.
