GED Instructor Corrections

Profile

Seeking instructor to teach reading, writing, and math to adult students working towards their high school diploma. Class runs year-round (approx. 42 weeks per year, with breaks interspersed partially at the discretion of the instructor), Monday through Friday, 9 AM – 11:30 AM. Position starts immediately. This class is held on-site at a correctional facility.
Requirements:
Strong classroom management skills
Teaching experience in reading, writing, and math
Experience with multi-level classrooms
Availability to attend monthly professional development sessions (generally, Monday afternoons)
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of GED exam, especially GED 2014
Experience educating adults and/or at-risk populations
K-12 teaching experience
Experience incorporating educational technology into lessons
