Are you interested in working for a world top 100 University? We have an exciting opportunity within the School of Law for a Research Associate with a background in Game-Based Learning to join the team on Project FORTITUDE, a research project funded by the European Research Council. Working with children and drawing on theories of play, this project aims to create a range of game-based resources (both digital and non-digital) to improve children’s legal capability. Its secondary aim is to provide a framework for the development of these kinds of interventions in other populations. You will work with the Principal Investigator (PI) Professor Dawn Watkins to support this ambitious agenda; in collaboration with other members of the team based in the School of Law at **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***., and with Professor Clare Wood in the Department of Psychology at Nottingham Trent University.
**MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***.’s School of Law is a large and diverse school with an international reputation for excellence in research, for the expertise of its staff, and the achievement of its graduates. Our vision is to advance the interdisciplinary understanding of law, socio-legal studies and criminology, combining outstanding research with innovative research-led teaching. Our internationalisation strategy has led to a global network of research and teaching links. We encourage all undergraduate students to spend a year abroad with one of our partners, and we have structured all of our degree programmes to facilitate this.  The School’s civic engagement activities connect it with the city of Sheffield, and with partners in the commercial, public and third sectors, nationally and internationally. The School’s wide-ranging
pro bono
work enriches our students’ experience and promotes an ethic of service to justice shared by staff, students, alumni and other supporters of the School.
You will join around 60 academic staff and a large professional support team. The total student body numbers around 1,200 undergraduates and 200 postgraduates. The School has a dedicated home in Bartolome House, a Grade II listed building, close to the main campus and library with easy access to the centre of Sheffield. We believe in the power of diversity to help us address global challenges and aim to actively build a diverse team and we welcome applications from currently under-represented groups, including candidates who are female and/or from Black and Minority Ethnic backgrounds.
We’re one of the best not-for-profit organisations to work for in the UK. The University’s Total Reward Package includes a competitive salary, a generous Pension Scheme and annual leave entitlement, as well as access to a range of learning and development courses to support your personal and professional development.
We build teams of people from different heritages and lifestyles from across the world, whose talent and contributions complement each other to greatest effect. We believe diversity in all its forms delivers greater impact through research, teaching and student experience.

What I liked about the service is that it had such a comprehensive collection of jobs! I was using a number of sites previously and this took up so much time, but in joining EmploymentCrossing, I was able to stop going from site to site and was able to find everything I needed on EmploymentCrossing.
