Profile

Description:
This is an exciting chance to be part of a progressive and cutting-edge University in a beautiful location, where you can really make a difference. The University wishes to appoint a Mobile Device Administrator to support the Faculty of Health. You will be responsible for providing efficient and effective administration of the Faculty’s iPad fleet, ensuring smooth coordination of all internal activities in an accurate and timely manner. The Mobile Device Administrator is the primary contact for all iPad-related queries. You will deliver excellent customer service, provide iPad technical support, manage and distribute devices for students and labs across the Faculty, maintain an asset register via an MDM and procure new devices when required. This role will be based within the Digital Education team, which supports staff using digital technologies and resources for teaching, learning and assessment. Digital Education provides guidance and advice on a range of Technology Enhanced Learning approaches to help individuals, module/programme teams, faculty groups and professional services staff to progress their development ideas and projects. You will ideally have demonstrable experience managing IT devices at scale (including set-up and provisioning), preferably via an MDM service (e.g., Jamf School). You will be liaising and working with internal stakeholders; therefore, you must have excellent communication skills and prior experience working in a customer-focused and/or supportive role. You will also need to demonstrate self-leadership and perform as an effective member of a team. We seek a proactive and resilient individual who thrives in an ever-changing dynamic environment. While possessing excellent IT and organisation skills, the ability to seek resolutions to problems and work within tight deadlines remains vital. This is a part-time position working 18.5 hours per week on a fixed-term basis until 15th November 2025 due to business demand. Working patterns can be discussed upon job offer. The role is currently based on the main University Campus; however, the ability to drive and travel to different sites is necessary. Please refer to the job description for further information. Please demonstrate how you meet the essential criteria outlined in the knowledge, qualifications, training and experience elements of the job description in your supporting statement. For an informal discussion to find out more about the role, please contact Nathan Marshall by email ****. Interviews are likely to take place on Tuesday 5th December 2023, and you will be notified if you have been shortlisted or not. We offer a competitive salary package and a generous pension and holiday scheme. We also offer a range of other benefits, including ongoing development opportunities. A successful external candidate for this position would be employed by the University of Plymouth Services Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of the University of Plymouth.
