Job Description:
BASIC PURPOSE: Provides graduate recruitment and marketing support for Graduate Studies and coordinates Professional Development Institute programs.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Graduate Admissions Responsibilities:
1. Answer phone calls, emails and coordinate general inquiry management for prospective students.
2. Provide assistance to inquiries, applicants, accepted and deposited students with the goal of recruiting qualified students
3. Track and record communications with prospective students by phone, email, and direct mail to address requests for information, guidance on application completion, and other concerns.
4. Collaborate with program directors on related recruitment efforts and promotional activities.
5. Plan and coordinate graduate admission events.
6. Provide marketing support for graduate admissions, including assisting with email marketing, managing website updates, coordinating with printers and designers, and updating and maintaining project trackers.
7. Represent the school at career events, college fairs, conferences, and other recruiting activities
8. Work independently and is capable of multi-tasking when handling a variety of responsibilities.
9. Identify and resolve problems with appropriate actions. Research, collect and analyze information.
10. Complete assigned projects in a timely manner.
11. Maintain confidentiality on issues in the office.
12. Participate in various meetings, councils, task forces, and committees.
13. Perform other related tasks as assigned or requested.
Professional Development Institute program coordinator responsibilities:
Work with program directors to create, plan, develop, implement, and promote Professional Development Institute programs and events
Operations and Facilities
* Coordinate the reserving of space and the physical setup for institute events
* Manage the set-up of reservation software and all communications to registrants pre and post event
Event Support
* Provide on-site and pre-event support to program directors
* Communicate effectively with presenters and vendors
* Attend events as necessary to ensure on site success
Social Media, Digital and Print Marketing -
* Contribute to the design and upkeep of the institute webpages
* Work with the program directors on the creation of brochures and marketing materials
* Manage the outreach to target lists of potential attendees
* Work to grow the target audiences
* Create and send institute marketing materials via mail, email, text, etc.
Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Must be willing to contribute actively to the mission of the University as well as show respect for the Catholic and Assumptionist identity of Assumption University.
* Bachelor's degree is required.
* At least 3 years prior experience in an educational environment with emphasis on admissions.
* Proficiency in web development and design platforms (Adobe Creative Suite Applications) as well as knowledge of web scripting and design standards required.
* Must have a valid driver's license
* Willingness to travel and availability for night and weekend work.
* Must have excellent public speaking, interpersonal and written communication skills and exceptional critical decision-making ability.
* Must be able to manage multiple ongoing projects and responsibilities.
* Strong quantitative and analytical ability required.
* Self motivated, organized and willing to work both independently and as part of a team in supporting the enrollment goals of the Graduate Studies, Professional Development Institute, Admissions and Financial Aid Offices.
* Ability to anticipate and embrace change; demonstrate willingness to achieve, acquire, and utilize new skills and challenging tasks; and is flexible in changing conditions.
* Must have strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
