General Description of Position:
The High School Recruiter assists in the development and execution of a recruitment plan to build relationships with prospective Ivy Tech Community College students in Wayne County, Indiana.
Major Responsibilities:
Oversees high school recruiting efforts on- and off-campus including college fairs, K-12 school visits, College For A Day (C-FAD) initiative, informational events, etc. Such events take place both during regular business hours and after hours (evenings and weekends).
Develop collaborative relationships with local schools, community agencies, and organizations, sharing and selling the benefits of the Community College in order to increase the number of traditional-aged inquiries and applicants to the College.
Manage a defined recruitment territory; Coordinate Take a Course On Us (TACOU) program for high schools within territory, assisting dual-enrollment students with the course registration process, ensuring their overall success.
Effectively track and engage prospective student groups with the client relationship management (CRM) tool. Use the CRM to assess the effectiveness of various recruitment efforts and adjust based on intake and conversion data.
Make data informed decisions while formulating recruitment strategies for target markets in order to meet annual/semesterly campus metrics.
Collaborate with Ivy Tech personnel and all campus departments to coordinate overall recruitment opportunities effectively and cohesively.
Assist with the development of admissions and recruitment related materials and disseminate such materials in coordination with statewide communications and recruitment efforts.
Conduct all activities within the established guidelines of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).

Minimum Qualifications:
Associate degree required, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Valid driver’s license.
Excellent communication skills and superior customer service experience.
Strong public speaking skills and ability to engage large and small groups in a variety of settings.
Ability to prepare and deliver professional presentations.
Competent using technologies including, but not limited to: Microsoft Office, text messaging systems, social media, virtual applications (Zoom, Teams, etc.), Client Relationship Management tool, etc.
Experience in administration, public relations, higher education, and/or event coordination is a plus.
