**MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. invites applications for a Research Associate to join the Evaluation Services Team in The Rural Institute for Inclusive Communities. The Research Associate will contribute to the development of research, evaluation, and data-related services to local communities and state government. Current projects focus on access to healthcare services and healthcare systems navigation; all projects work to support historically marginalized or vulnerable populations. This position may supervise 1-2 undergraduate or graduate students who will serve as research assistants. The Research Associate will delegate work assignments and oversee the performance of these graduate students.
Key duties and responsibilities include:
Survey development and implementation
Conduct literature reviews
Find, communicate with, and engage key stakeholders and partner programs
Be a collaborative member of an interdisciplinary team
Coordinate team efforts to complete projects ahead of deadlines
Analyze state and federal systems of care
Support qualitative and quantitative data collection, analysis and outcomes reporting for multiple partnering organizations
Develop and disseminate high-quality reports describing analyzed data
Prioritize multiple projects
Learn new systems and procedures quickly
Analyze and creatively solve problem using new technologies and proven practices

Position Details:
75 FTE (30 hours/week) and includes a comprehensive benefits package.
Location: Remote, no relocation required.
Annual base salary for this position is $40,000-$54,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications
Letter of Appointment until August 31, 2022; renewal is dependent on satisfactory job performance, continuing project needs, and/or available funding
Minimum Qualifications
Undergraduate degree and 3-5 years’ experience in public health, social work, community health, or related social science field
Ability to work collaboratively and positively with members of an interdisciplinary team
Knowledge of social determinants of health and leading health indicators
Knowledge of Excel, SPSS, and Qualtrics data analysis and software systems
Ability to conduct literature reviews
Ability to design data collection tools
Ability to identify and aggregate publicly available data
Ability to perform basic statistical analysis
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and concisely with diverse audiences
Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, possess good time management skills
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree and a minimum of two years conducting similar research/data analysis
Demonstrated understanding of:
Social conditions that impact health and well-being of children and families
How research/data can be used to improve systems of care and outcomes for children, families, and marginalized groups
Excellent written and public speaking skills
Proficient in using a wide range of software systems for data analysis, generating reports, and disseminating findings
Creative problem-solver who collaborates well with others
High-level attention to details
Realize long-term goals by developing short-term objectives and activities
