Profile

Summary of Position:

 

Responsible for planning and implementing orientation and in-service education programs with identified instructional outcomes under the direction and guidance of the Administrative Nurse Manager. Teaches pertinent content to staff on the unit. Contributes to the quality of patient care by participation in quality improvement activities and research. Knowledge of principles of the pediatric and adult population. Assessment and management  (medical and psychiatric) of neonates, children, adolescent, and adult patients. Competency in ESI levels.

 

Education, Training & Experience:

*Master's Degree preferred *Bachelor's Degree required *Current licensure as a registered professional nurse in NYS *At least 5 years of pediatric experience with at least 2 of those years in an emergency room setting
