Description:
King University is accepting applications for the position of Assistant Director of Athletic Communications. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting King Athletics and our student athletes in every aspect of Athletic communications, media relations, and sports information. Duties will include writing press releases, updating the website, statistics at games, managing webcasts, promoting King Athletics on social media, and other related duties as assigned. This position will require nights and weekends.
Minimum Qualifications:
At least 1 year of experience in a college or professional sports setting related to Athletic Communications, or comparable experience. Candidates should possess knowledge and interest in athletics communications and sports information, as well as a general understanding of a variety of sports. A bachelor’s degree is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
A Master’s degree is preferred. Experience with Sidearm web platform, NCAA LiveStats, Stat Crew Automated Scorebook and other statistical software.
