Special Events Coordinator
The Office of Special Events is accepting applications for a Special Events Coordinator (Program Coordinator I).
Duties will include, but are not limited to: maintains the flow of information in the Office of Special Events generates required correspondence, manages all mailings, creates event folders, maintains event files, scans documents, makes copies, answers office telephone. Prepares, edits, and proofreads informational materials for internal and external communication. Prepares Purchase Requisitions and Food Expense Justification (FEJ) forms in a timely manner post-event. Direct monitoring and reconciliation of staff procurement card and travel card expenses. Manage all commencement ceremonies to include: scheduling meetings and locations of full commencement committee members, placing work orders, securing vendors, and requesting and organizing volunteers. Coordinates catering specifications and submits room reservations through 25Live. Prepares prerequisite work orders for room set-up, transportation, and audio visual. Coordinate the mailing, ticket requests and payment for the President's Football Suite for all Board of Trustee members and Legislators. Receive guest responses for football, basketball and baseball suite and in turn mail guest packages to include tickets, parking pass, and gameday information
Qualifications: A bachelor's degree and two (2) years of relevant program experience are required. Experience in a University setting and budget analysis are preferred.

Program Coordinator 1 (AH35 / 61122724/FTE-S00566P) full-time position with benefits. SC State Pay Band: 05. Normal work hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday with evening and weekend work as needed. Must be flexible to meet special scheduling needs of the University.
Required Qualifications
A bachelor's degree. At least two (2) years of relevant program experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Relevant special events experience in a University setting is preferred.
Required Licensure and/or Certification
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize needs to meet deadlines.
Work experience with volunteers a plus.
