WHA provides a specialized educational program for students of all ages who are on the autism spectrum. As an Assistant Principal, you will work closely with the Principal to oversee the daily operations of the school and support the needs of the staff, students and families. **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. has been changing the lives of individuals with autism and their families for over 28 years by providing a full range of services including education, therapy, life plan management, residential services, vocational training, and more.
Responsibilities
Assist the Principal with the daily operations and management of the school, including staffing, program development and implementation, and student recruitment and retention
Help ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, such as state licensing and program accreditation
Develop and monitor academic programming and align them with state standards
Create and coordinate professional development opportunities for faculty and staff
Ensure a positive and inclusive learning environment, where the needs of all students are met
Foster positive relationships and communication with parents and guardians
Collaborate with other departments within **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. to best serve the needs of students and families
Requirements Master's degree in Education, Educational Administration, or related field
Minimum of 3 years of experience in education management and/or leadership positions
Significant experience in special education, preferably with students on the autism spectrum
Strong knowledge of state and federal regulations related to education and special education
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Familiarity with educational technology, including online learning platforms
