Physical Education Teaching Jobs description
A physical education teacher prepares lesson plans and instructional materials; plans and conducts daily classroom instruction in physical education/health; assigns grades and keeps attendance records; familiarizes students with the equipment in gymnasiums and around swimming pools; monitors student activities in classrooms and on the rest of a school's premises to ensure the welfare and safety of the students; advises students about healthy eating and exercise habits; promotes sports and other physical extracurricular activities; and ensures the active participation of students in physical education activities. Physical education teachers also engage in managing and coordinating intramural sports activities.Physical education teacher openings are typically available with schools and basic educational institutions. A physical education teacher might also be called a special education teacher, physical education and health teacher, trainer, or sports coach, depending on the given duties.
