Job Description:
The Department of Natural Sciences & Mathematics is accepting applications for part-time Associate Lecturers that can teach the lecture or lab sections for the following Biology courses: Introductory Biology for Science Majors (organismal or molecular focus), Introductory Biology/Science for Non-Majors, Anatomy and Physiology and Environmental Science. The Associate Lecturer will teach in person in our undergraduate day program on our Milton campus, multiple sections are available. Screening and review of candidate application materials will begin immediately and will be ongoing.
Part-time Associate Lecturers are expected to work collaboratively with faculty in the department to ensure consistent course delivery including the alignment of lecture content and lab activities, scientific skills development, and assessment of the curriculum.
Associate Lectures must use the College's learning management system, Canvas, to post syllabus, assignments, grades and other materials to communicate with students. In person office hours are expected.
Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
A minimum of a Master's degree in Biology or a closely related field is required.
The department is seeking candidates with a history of effective teaching, including experience using active learning techniques.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Canvas LMS a plus.
