MATH TEACHER- EL SUMMER PROGRAM

Profile

The English Learning Department is seeking a math teacher for an EL Summer Enrichment program at Burlington High School.

The 5-week, half-day program allows English Learners who are entering grades 9-12 to enhance their skills in math in preparation for success during the following school year.

Priority is given to EL students who are newcomers to English and who need specific supports in Math and in English.

The program includes targeted skill development, active learning, and outside enrichment experiences in the community.

The ideal candidates for these positions will have experience working with English Learners in both math content and academic language.
