Program Goals
The Somerville Summer Music Camp provides a week of music programming during the summer for string, woodwind and brass players in the Somerville Public Schools.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree preferred
Evidence of five years of successful teaching/summer camp experience
Demonstrated experience as an administrator or supervisor
Responsibilities
Supervise music camp staff and all instructional activities
Supervise the maintenance of attendance of students
Maintain high standards of student conduct and enforce discipline as necessary
Supervise the daily lunch and snack count and maintain supplies and equipment as well as proper distribution.
Monitor safety and all procedures as they pertain to the complete supervision of all campers and staff
Supervise office procedures, opening-and closing-day procedures for staff and campers.
Assess all summer camp activities and provide recommendations for the improvement of future summer programs

Location: East Somerville Community School
Stipend: $1,680 (25 hours of programming / 15 prep hours)
Mandatory Orientation and Professional Development Days: Week of June 26
