Position Description:
The Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics in the University of Louisville School of Medicine invites applications for a tenure track Assistant Professor position. The Department has a vibrant research portfolio with recent hires geared toward genomic approaches to a range of fundamental problems including host-pathogen interactions, tumorigenesis, and cardiovascular disease. The successful applicant is expected to be a vital part of the Department's research enterprise by maintaining a vigorous and independently funded research program. Of particular interest will be individuals working in areas related to the Department's strengths in genomics or topics relevant to institutional affiliates including: the Diabetes and Obesity Center, the Brown Cancer Center, and the Envirome Institute (Cardiovascular). The appointment will be at the level of assistant professor, but exceptional candidates will also be considered at the associate professor level.
