Job Description

COUNSELOR:

This is a regular ten-month contract with full

benefits beginning the 2021-22 school year.

*By Board Policy 6210, a teacher must remain in

his or her school for three school years.

This role will be responsible for:

Assisting teachers and administrators by providing consulting and coaching services to support systemic implementation of Social-Emotional Learning for Trask Middle.

Supporting school-wide positive behavioral supports for all students (Be a positive and cheerful person that looks forward to working with peers, students and parents on situations involving behavioral issues.)

Leading staff development and school in restorative practices

Providing school with alternatives to suspension

Collecting, disaggregating, and analyzing school wide behavior data to drive positive change

Working collaboratively with administrators, ISS coordinator, MTSS coordinator, and student support team to address significant behaviors needs

Providing evidenced based interventions to students in need

Leading/chairing PBIS committee
