Job Goal
The Redirect and Bridge programs are flexible and respond to the changing needs of students. The staff in these programs individually support students in a variety of academic, organizational, and social emotional ways. Students receive support in staying on top of academic work, completing outstanding assignments, communicating with their teachers and developing increased self-efficacy and social emotional awareness.
Qualifications and Skills Preferred:
Active and valid MA DESE (Mathematics and/or Science) preferred
Experience working with high school students
Excellent interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with school staff and students
Ability to build relationships with all types of learners
Flexible and able to switch gears quickly
Bilingual preferred
Responsibilities
Comfortable with tutoring all high school subjects (Math, Science, History and English)
Able to collaborate with students’ teachers to support their academic success (e.g. collecting homework, negotiating deadlines, facilitating relationships between teachers)
Ability to support teacher/counselor in classroom management and coverage

Monday - Friday, 7:45 am - 2:45 pm (Hours to be scheduled with the Guidance Department Chair for SHS)
