Job Description
Title: Early Childhood Coordinator
Reports to: Director of Student Services
Position Summary:
The Early Childhood Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and administering all aspects of the school district’s early childhood and special education programming.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
· Oversees early childhood education, preschool programming and transition to kindergarten;
· Coordinates with Early Intervention and area pre-schools;
· Responsible for Preschool and Kindergarten registration, orientation and parent engagement;
· Conducts Pre-school home visits;
· Leads special education IEP meetings and processes;
· Leads community screenings and community EC events;
· Leads professional development (PD) for special education and early childhood staff and collaborates with Assistant Superintendent and Team to plan PK-2 PD;
· Supervision and evaluation of EC staff and collaboration with site principals;
· Implementation of Early Education and Care (EEC) requirements;
· Works collaboratively with Director of Student Services to coordinate services and determine budget priorities;
· Leads professional learning related to EEC for district administrators;
· Manages grants related to EEC;
· Plans EC summer ESY programming;
· Participates as an active member of the district leadership team;
· Other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements
Requirements:
· Master’s Degree;
· Experience as special education and early childhood educator;
· Licensure required: MA DESE Director, Special Education and Early Childhood
Desired Characteristics:
· Strong leadership, collaboration & communication skills;
· Experience with evaluation/supervision process;
· Experience providing professional development;
· Experience enforcing special education law
· Knowledge of EC curriculum & assessment;
· Experience in data analysis and use of data to inform instruction;
· Knowledge of and experience with EEC requirements
· Grant writing experience
Work Year: 203 days
Hiring is contingent upon a successful CORI and fingerprinting clearance. All finalists will be required to provide official transcripts.
