Job Description
SMILE Social Program Coordinator
The SMILE program is a 4-week summer program for elementary students to mitigate learning impacts from COVID. The program will target the academic skills of elementary students (K-5) with social- emotional learning experiences. The program will include an optional morning and afternoon module for social learning opportunities. The Social Program Coordinator will work with teachers and camp counselors to provide a variety of activities that focus on fun and engaging social learning opportunities.
Responsibilities:
Assisting the SMILE Director with daily operational procedures
Coordinating, planning, preparing, and managing the SMILE social program;
Coordinating the program on a day-to-day and minute-by-minute basis;
and coordinating the work of staff;
Creating and presenting an orientation for all staff members
Attending weekly planning meetings with the summer program team
Engaging with parents as partners;
Collaborating with other team members in problem solving and planning.
Coordinating with the ESY Coordinator for shared staff such as Nurse
Hiring lead teachers and counselors to create social learning opportunities
Working with Director around budget management
General Terms:
All staff are required to work all days and hours, specific to the program or position.
All staff must attend a 2-hour orientation meeting to be scheduled in late May or June.

Job Requirements
Experience working in an ESY or summer program is preferred.
Willingness to collaborate with others
Familiarity with technology Citizenship, residency or work VISA in United States required
