Job Description:

The Undergraduate Education program at Curry College invites application for a part-time associate lecturer to teach in our undergraduate teacher preparation majors in the areas of middle school, elementary and early childhood areas with a focus in three areas of classroom management.

The successful candidate should possess the following extensive knowledge and practical experience using classroom management strategies that enhance student success in the inclusive classroom; supporting and teaching prosocial behaviors that meet the emotional, social and academic needs of all learners; behavior management principles that support the individual student in the inclusive setting utilizing positive behavior supports and interventions.

The successful candidate should be able to support pre-service educators pursuing credentials across early childhood, elementary and middle school environments which can provide educator candidates opportunities to identify the academic, social/emotional, and behavioral challenges students' experience in classrooms environments and explore specific ways to create strong learning communities that support diverse learners.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge and practical experience in examining and applying current behavioral and therapeutic approaches that provide students feedback and promote their success.

The class will be held for the spring 2023 semester, in-person on Thursdays from 5:00-7:30pm beginning on Thursday, January 26, 2023-Thursday, May 11, 2023.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

A minimum of a master's degree in Education or appropriate related field is required. Extensive experience working in public schools or other appropriate setting teachings working with students at the PreK-8 level is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with pre-service teacher candidates and or novice educators is preferred.

College-level teaching experience or work with traditional age or adult learners both in-person or remotely is desirable.

Comfort and ability using an on-line learning and teaching management systems is preferred.
