Job Description:

The Registrar, an integral member of the Student Services and Enrollment Management Division, represents the college as the keeper of student records, maintaining student records and managing all aspects of Registrar's Office operations.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Manage all aspects of the Registrar's Office in an effort to register and maintain student enrollment at the college and data integrity, promoting professionalism and efficiency within the office.

Supervise the coordination of all the processes for the implementation and creation of the master schedule consistent with the MCCC Collective Bargaining contracts, working collaboratively with Division Deans and academic staff to achieve the process to facilitate the efficient registration of students for the online and in-person registration process.

Utilize technology systems such as Banner, Degree Works, Argos, College Scheduler, EMS, EAB Navigate, and Dynamic Forms amongst others, to facilitate information, student access and registration, and update business processes, maintaining system security, and providing college-wide professional development.

Supervise the coordination of the process of program requirements for student graduation requirements and the compilation and analysis of data from students for reports to internal and external agencies.

Enforces the provision of the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and acts as the College's chief compliance officer for FERPA; provides relative information and training to the college community.

Act as a liaison to departments and personnel, working collaboratively with representatives from the standards, curriculum, and appeals committees and the faculty senate to implement new policies and program requirements.

Create a strategic plan to maximize course offerings and classroom space and provide enrollment forecasting and trends based on enrollment and historical data.

Serve as a representative of the Registrar's Office on governance, steering, and college wide committees and task forces.

Generate and implement new academic and business policies, requirements, and processes specific to the Registrar's Office.

Establishes and maintains collaborative and effective working relationships with a diverse group of leaders across the College to enhance student success.

Supervise, train, conduct performance evaluations, and promote professional development and goals for staff.

Facilitate the hiring and appointment process within the Registrar's Office.

Manages the fiscal affairs of the department, including budget development and priorities; exercises direct fiscal control over the approved budget.

Requirements:

Master's Degree required in Education, Psychology, Communications, Counseling, Human Services, Management, Marketing, or closely related field.

Minimum of five (5) years of progressively increasing professional experience in a record-keeping enrollment management position.

Minimum of two (2) years of successful supervisory experience in an assistant director, associate director or director level capacity within higher education.

Thorough understanding of student regulations and policies in the higher education environment such as FERPA.

Significant experience working with technology such as student information and data management systems or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Proven track record of providing high-quality customer service.

Experience interpreting and explaining policies and procedures.

Experience planning and conducting training in a higher education setting.

Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and oral and written communication skills.

Proven ability to work effectively with a diverse faculty, staff, and student body.

Preferred Qualifications:

Fluency in a second language.

Experience with the College's enrollment-related technology platforms including Banner, Argos, DegreeWorks, MyMassasoit, EMS, and EAB Navigate.

Prior experience in a community college setting.

Additional Information:

Position Status: Non-unit Professional, full-time state funded with benefits.

Hours: 37.5 per week

Salary: $77,207 - $100,367 (annually), commensurate with education and experience.

Worksite: Primary work location is the Brockton campus but may include all Massasoit sites.
