Front Desk & Fitness Center Monitor

General Statement of Duties:
Monitors will assist with the operation of the Wellness Center as it relates to the facility spaces, programs and events.
Responsibilities:
1. Supervise/ oversee the Wellness/Fitness Center activities, participants and equipment usage.
2. Provide a friendly, upbeat and customer/member experience at all times including when responding to questions, concerns, and suggestions whether in person, phone or email.
3. Manage the membership management system including identification, completion of waiver/forms, and payment from participants/members when applicable through Innosoft Fusion.
4. Maintain equipment inventories and report any safety or maintenance needs via Google Forms.
5. Clean, disinfect and re-rack all equipment as scheduled with documentation.
6. Maintain organization of all weights and equipment as needed.
7. Conduct facility walk-throughs every 25-30 minutes recording occupancies via Google Forms and proactively enforce policies and procedures to all.
8. Open/close the facility, rooms, venues according to proper procedures and scheduling based on Live25.
9. Educate users and enforce policies/protocols regarding safe and proper usage of the equipment/facility.
10. Manage the equipment rental process, including its proper use/ return in union with Innosoft Fusion.
11. Respond to, and follow, all emergency procedures and prepare incident and injury reports.
12. Manage group exercise class and golf simulator tee time reservations with Innosoft Fusion.
13. Assist with facility set up and breakdown during competition and/or rental of spaces.
14. Maintain positive and enthusiastic relationship with students, faculty, staff and members.
15. Escort internal and external visitors to appropriate spaces, to also include providing tours of facility.
16. Communicate with visiting teams with pre-arrival information to ensure a smooth competition.
17. Utilize When to Work employee scheduling software; providing availability, trades/drops, verifying schedules and communication through the group text.
18. Assist with office oriented tasks during shifts.
19. Monitors may be switched to another station at any time by the supervisor-on-duty.
20. Attend all mandatory staff meetings and workshops.
21. Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Required Qualifications:
Be enrolled as a student at Worcester State University, and check your WSU email daily.
Knowledge of Wellness/Fitness Center policies.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Be able to work independently and with a team in a fast paced environment.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
CPR/AED certification.
