Job Description:

Under the supervision of the Vice President of Institutional Advancement, the Director of Constituent Engagement will develop & implement the strategic, long-range goals for a comprehensive engagement program designed to deliver meaningful opportunities for event participation, volunteerism, service, personal and professional development & philanthropy for alumni, families, faculty, staff, and current students. Curry College's Alumni and Constituent Engagement are critical to advancing the College's mission.

Essential Functions:

1. Constituent Engagement:

With guidance from the VPIA, strategically design comprehensive annual engagement programs and signature events, 1-2 per month, with the goal of increasing YOY event attendance and philanthropic ROI. Integrated activities including in-person events, volunteer opportunities, hosting virtual gatherings, and mass marketing designed to provide an ongoing journey for participants, leading to increased participation, donors and dollars generated;

Direct marketing and communications plans associated with all constituent programming, including corresponding solicitations, invitations, training resources, website updates and social media activations. Lead the implementation of new technology, training materials and channels as needed to equip all programs & volunteers for optimal success;

Serve as the University's ambassador for activities involving relevant constituencies. Share responsibility, with the Major Gifts and Annual Fund Officer, for the recruitment and activation of the College's Councils to meet the College's philanthropic goals;

Develop or contribute content to all constituent communications, ensuring engagement opportunities of programs and services associated with the College's alumni, family, friends, faculty, staff, executive and greater Curry community activities;

Proactively evaluate programs using benchmarking data to guide decision-making. Generate, analyze and present regular reports to VPIA to optimize future activity.

2. Events:

Plan and execute alumni, family, friend, community, and stewardship events both on and off-campus. Some travel is required;

Serve as Point of Contact for all IA events;

Administer the growth, development, and implementation of alumni and family events, including but not limited to Homecoming, Spring Arts Weekend, and regional special; functions targeted to specific alumni and family audiences with guidance from the VPIA;

Actively participate and assist with other college events, including but not limited to athletic events, reunions, career development events, admissions receptions, Commencement;

With support from AA, generate invite lists from Banner and/or Blackbaud CRMs.

3. Budget:

Maintain constituent engagement through fiscal stability through budget preparation, control and event and activity implementation;

Forecast budgets throughout the year as needed.

4. Stewardship:

Create and coordinate all donor reports and student engagement pieces, written or video;

Prepare reports for the BOT and other senior leadership;

Occasional evening and weekend events and board meetings around key weekends related to College initiatives will be required but scheduled well in advance;

Other duties as assigned.

Additional Functions:

Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or his/her designee;

Maintains a working knowledge of Banner and other applicable databases.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in English, Business, or a related field is required.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, including fundraising, event planning, and volunteer management with a not-for-profit or higher education organization.

Excellent interpersonal skills, specifically the ability to work with groups and organizations, both internal and external to the College.

Excellent planning and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, adapt to changing priorities, work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Ability to manage and motivate volunteers.

Valid Driver's License Required.
