PARAEDUCATORS- EL SUMMER PROGRAM

Profile

The EL Department is seeking (2) paraeducators for an EL Summer Enrichment program at Burlington High School.

The program allows English Learners who are entering grades 9-12 to enhance their skills in Math and English in preparation for success during the following school year. Priority is given to EL students who are newcomers to English and who need specific supports in Math and in English. The program includes targeted skill development, active learning, and outside enrichment experiences in the community.

The ideal candidates for this position will have experience working with English Learners in math content and/or academic language.

The program is half-day, and runs for 5 weeks during the summer,
