Job Description:
Join a team of fellow professionals who teach in City University of Seattle's China partner programs and take your expertise on the road. Travel to teach the discipline and skill set you've developed and now want to share on-site in the English-language MBA program at the University of International Business and Economics (UIBE) in Beijing or English-language undergraduate programs at Shenzhen Polytechnic College (SZPT) or Zhejiang Financial College (ZFC) in Hangzhou. Successful candidates will have the experience and credentials in their disciplines to create highly engaging student experiences, delivering their part of an integrated partner program representing an international point of view on business and technology.
Part-time Teaching Faculty at City University of Seattle has three key responsibilities
Striving for excellence in teaching and learning,
Fostering student development, and
Maintaining currency in their profession.
MBA courses in the CityU/UIBE program are taught in full-day sessions over two consecutive weekends (office hours/free time during weekdays). Responsibilities include university and learning system orientation, class preparations, teaching on-site in the country, grading assignments, and grade reporting.

Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:

Master's degree with professional credentials in fields related/relevant to the course topics.
Five (undergrad) to eight (MBA) minimum years of professional/managerial/leadership experience in at least one of the course topics.
Three to five years of instructional experience in higher education or professional learning and development. Recent experience with online teaching and learning.
Commitment to learning and teaching and staying current with the current practices and innovations in relevant industries and disciplines.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and learning management systems in support of quality teaching and learning.
Ability to communicate analytical concepts tangibly and intuitively.
Proficient in teamwork and coordination as part of a globally dynamic and diverse team.
Excellent oral and written English proficiency and interpersonal skills. Must relate to and communicate with diverse students, faculty, and staff.
A fundamental understanding of the needs and interests of Chinese students, as well as their learning style and way of thinking.
Some knowledge of Chinese culture and a positive attitude toward Chinese people.
Ability to present an engaging and professional image for the university.

Support and Compensation:
CityU provides the following each time the instructor is invited to teach a course session:
Invitation, Visa sponsorship, and application.
$5,000 fixed fee, dependent upon student enrollment and class structure.
Per-diem stipend and travel expenses.
Program support for instructional development and teaching administration.
Additional information regarding logistics will be provided during interviews and onboarding.
