Job Description
ABA Tutor - Partner Program
The Sudbury Public Schools, a PreK-8 district, is seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated individual to work as an ABA
Tutor in the Partners Program at the Josiah Haynes Elementary School. Using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), the program is designed to help children diagnosed with Autism reach their full potential. The students receive highly specialized instruction with inclusion opportunities provided and supported as appropriate. This work is performed in the classroom under the direct supervision of a Head Teacher and BCBA supervisor. Training is provided and is on-going.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
The role of the ABA Tutor is to implement an intensive skills based program that is grounded in the principles of applied behavior analysis. This work is performed under the direct supervision of a Master’s Level Head Teacher.
-Aid in planning and implementing academic and behavioral programming for assigned students in collaboration with other members of the team;
-Record, enter and summarize data;
-Assist in data collection and the writing of progress reports in collaboration with the Lead Teacher; ? Meet regularly with team members;
-Embed into teaching and learning the student’s skills learned in related services (OT, PT, Speech and Language, etc.) per the recommendations of the service providers;
-Accommodate and modify general education curriculum and instructions to meet student’s needs and skill level to insure successful inclusion experiences;
-Actively participate in ongoing professional development;
-Collaborate with other team members;
-Other related duties as assigned.
Schedule: 183 days (1.0 FTE); 30.84 hours per week (prorated)
Salary: Based on the collective bargaining agreement
Hiring is contingent upon a successful CORI and fingerprinting clearance. All finalists will be required to provide official transcripts.

Job Requirements
Qualifications:
Meets the Department of Education Guidelines for Highly Qualified Paraprofessionals which includes:
-High School diploma or equivalent and an Associate’s (or higher) degree;
OR
Completion of 48 credit hours at an Institution of Higher Education; OR
Completion of one of the formal Massachusetts-endorsed Assessments: Parapro or WorkKeys;
-Bachelor’s degree in education, special education, psychology or related field preferred;
-Experience in teaching and supporting children with autism, emotional impairments, communication disorders, and/or learning disabilities required;
-Demonstrated warmth, caring, and respect in the approach to children and parents required;
-A strong commitment to children with significant disabilities required;
-Familiarity with the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis required.
