Job Description
Summer Program Assistants
The Sudbury SMILE (SUMMER MATH INTERVENTION AND LITERACY ENGAGEMENT) program is looking for assistants to work with students in an academic module supporting students in K-5. This 4-week program will run Mondays- Fridays from July 11th- August 5th at the Loring School. Assistants will work with lead teachers to support students through a created curriculum and interventions. This is a great opportunity to work with children from kindergarten to fifth grade to help provide them with fun and engaging experiences as well as being a part of an inclusive community. Assistants would be required to be available for the full four weeks as well as participate in set-ups days on June 28th and June 29th
Responsibilities:
-Counselors are responsible for campers' physical and emotional safety and must ensure that campers feel supported and welcomed at all times
- Collaborate with teachers and other assistants to provide a meaningful and focused summer learning experience
-Enforce rules, regulations, and policies to ensure the safety of all children in attendance
- Build relationships with campers to foster friendly, supportive and nurturing group dynamics
- Under the general supervision of the Program Director, assistants will supervise students in lunch, help with arrival/ dismissal as well as work in classrooms to support students
Qualifications:
Experience working in a summer camp environment
Over 18 years old
Knowledge of child development
Willingness to connect to students and help them have a positive summer experience
Ability to work with others and share feedback
Dates: July 11th- August 5th, Mondays- Fridays
Hours: 8:15am- 3:15pm
Location: Loring School 80 Woodside Road, Sudbury
Pay: $23.16/hr

Job Requirements
Experience working in an ESY or summer program is preferred.
Willingness to collaborate with others
Familiarity with technology Citizenship, residency or work VISA in United States required
