Burlington School District is accepting applications for an Intervention Specialist.
Essential skills include comfort, competence and knowledge in providing academic interventions for elementary (k-3) grade set. Experience with co-teaching and/or collaborative teaching practices desired.
Required:
Licensed or eligible for Vermont Educators License.
Experience in elementary instruction/interventions
School experience at the elementary level
Knowledge of best practices regarding student management protocols
Knowledge of elementary research based best practices
Preferred:
Training and experience with English Language Learners
Evidence of strong connection with students and families.
Experience in a professional/teaching learning community
Knowledge of assessments and use of data to inform instruction
Experience in implementing inclusive practices
Strong communication skills as evidenced through quality of resume and cover letter
