Reporting to and working in strategic partnership with the Vice President for Enrollment Management, the Associate Vice President for University Admissions (AVP) is responsible for the coordination and implementation of the University Strategic Recruitment Plan and provides leadership and direct support for the Offices of Undergraduate and Graduate Admissions in the recruitment of domestic and international students.
The AVP role will emphasize the expansion of recruitment, and in partnership with Student Success professionals will lead the implementation of corresponding activities that directly influence the recruitment, enrollment, and retention of academically qualified, culturally diverse, and broadly talented students.
The AVP, in consultation with the VPEM, establishes operational priorities for Enrollment Management and collaborates with campus partners to develop appropriate plans for marketing, recruitment, and admissions in line with these priorities.
The AVP works collaboratively with the leadership of key divisions including but not limited to Academic Affairs and Student Development, and Institutional Advancement to design viable and effective frameworks and associated solutions to achieve University and Enrollment Management strategic goals.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Participates in the development of admissions enrollment strategies and, in conjunction with the Vice President for Enrollment Management (VPEM), is responsible for Enrollment Management operational assessment, budgeting, policy development, implementation, and supervision/evaluation/development of divisional department management personnel.
Designs and implements a structure that brings increased coordination and cooperation among the admissions units to better manage admissions goals, and increase efficiencies and synergies across intra-division and inter-division
Provides operational direction for the Offices of Undergraduate and Graduate Admissions that include the development, implementation, and evaluation of communications, recruitment plans, admission processes, and conversion and retention strategies to identify, attract, admit, and enroll desired student populations.
Assists in the development of a University admissions marketing strategy in concert with the University's marketing plan, goals, and positioning to compel a broader interest in **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. from potential prospective undergraduate and graduate student target markets.
Reviews and makes recommendations to the VPEM on policy changes, modified procedures, budget allocations, and personnel recommendations for departments within the division.
Consults and collaborates with Deans or Associate Deans to develop respective college goals related to recruiting strategies and enrollment goals, as well as formulate long-and short-range plans to meet institutional enrollment goals.
Develops and prepares established and ad-hoc executive-level reports for the Presidents Cabinet in absence of the Vice President for Enrollment Management including, but not limited to, strategic planning/implementation, enrollment forecasting, divisional status/update, resource review and reallocation, and project management updates.
Represents the Enrollment Management office at various on- and off-campus recruitment events hosted by the undergraduate and graduate admissions offices as well as University-sponsored events focusing on the needs of prospective and currently enrolled students.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Vice President for Enrollment Management.

Qualifications:
Required qualifications:
Masters degree required, preferably in Business Administration, Higher Education Administration, or equivalent.
Six (6) or more years of experience in a management or administrative position with increasing responsibilities in recruitment and admissions.
Knowledge of regulatory, professional, and ethical guidelines in admission, and enrollment management to ensure compliance with University, state, federal, and other outside agency rules and regulations.
Experience in developing, evaluating, and improving marketing, recruitment, and enrollment.
Experience in collaborating with other divisional partners (notably Academic Affairs, Student Development, and Finance) on recruitment strategies.
Experience recruiting, and engaging students from diverse academic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
Technical competency in a variety of computer applications, including but not limited to spreadsheets, word processing, databases, statistical software, MS windows, and other PC-based tools.
Ability to travel and work evenings and /or weekends as necessary.
Ability to work and supervise in a remote working environment.
