Job Description:
**MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. in Canada is looking for qualified part-time Associate Faculties for the School of Health and Social Sciences in the Master of Counselling Program, Vancouver Campus, to facilitate courses that are taken alongside community internships. Ideal candidates are qualified counselling professionals with knowledge and experience in post-secondary education. Five years of practice and membership in good standing with BCACC and/or CCPA with a Master's degree at a minimum is required. A doctoral degree is preferred.
Summary:
Sections of practicum courses run continuously in all four of our academic quarters. Practicum courses are considered a form of group supervision and are City U in Canada's way of lending additional support to students while interning in the community. As a practicum instructor, you will facilitate discussions related to case conceptualization, case presentations, and general practice issues that arise for students during their clinical training.

Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:

A Registered mental health professional with a doctoral degree (preferred) or Masters in psychology, counselling, or clinical social work.
A minimum of 5 years post-registration clinical experience.
Registration with a regulatory body consistent with the field of practice.
Prior teaching experience is an asset.
Skills in addressing student academic-related issues and concerns in support of retention and student success.
Culturally competent to serve a diverse student and faculty body.
Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to provide a learning experience that links application with formal learning and adult learning theory.
Ability to work in a team-oriented system and deal effectively with professional staff, faculty, and culturally diverse students.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and learning management systems in support of quality teaching and learning.

Salary
The Part-time Teaching Faculty salary is based on the course level, faculty registration and experience, and the number of course credits (1-5).
