The School of Community Resources and Development at Arizona State University invites applications for (one) full-time, benefits-eligible, tenure-track Assistant Professor in Nonprofit Leadership and Management. We seek to attract an active, culturally, and academically diverse candidate who contributes to the research of our collegial faculty as well as to the teaching of our diverse and talented undergraduate and graduate students. The appointment will begin in Fall 2022.

. We are the only institution with Nonprofit Academic Centers Council (NACC) accreditation in both the NLM undergraduate and graduate degree programs of any university in the world.
SCRD is located at ASU’s Downtown Phoenix campus, a dynamic hub of the multi-campus Arizona State University that provides a multitude of academic and professional connections for students and faculty alike. The mission of our school is to co-create transformative solutions that enhance the social, cultural, environmental, and economic well-being of communities. We provide internationally recognized, interdisciplinary research expertise and innovative academic programs in nonprofit leadership and management, therapeutic recreation, parks and recreation management, community sports management, and tourism development and management. Courses are delivered through multiple modalities such as in-person, synchronous and asynchronous online, and hybrid.
ASU’s Watts College of Public Service and Community Solutions is home to ASU’s most diverse student body, with the highest percentage of minorities, transfer and working students – and the largest community of first-generation college students. Among our students are nearly 300 veterans and international students from about 60 countries.

Job Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be expected to develop and maintain cutting-edge scholarship in an internationally-recognized research program, deliver excellent in-class and online instruction at both the undergraduate and graduate level, and participate in service activities on behalf of the university, profession and community.
Required Qualifications
Earned doctorate in nonprofit studies, philanthropic studies, public affairs, business, or a related field from an accredited institution by time of appointment.
Evidence of research in nonprofit and philanthropic studies, nonprofit and nongovernmental organizations, community development, nonprofit finance, social entrepreneurship, social enterprises, or related areas.
Evidence of experience teaching in nonprofit leadership and management or related fields.
Demonstration and commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.
Desired Qualifications
Evidence of a strong or promising record of scholarship in nonprofit leadership and management and/or related fields.
Evidence of collaboration on externally-funded research projects.
Evidence of teaching excellence, both in-person and online, in nonprofit leadership and management or related fields.
Evidence of service to the university, profession, and/or community.
Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills and collegiality.
