We are looking for an RN Clinical Educator for the OR, PACU, and Ambulatory clinics to join our Clinical Education team at the University of Maryland Rehabilitation and Orthopaedic Institute.
The Clinical Practice Coordinator supports excellence in clinical practice and patient care quality through the implementation and evaluation of educational programs that support positive staff and patient outcomes. Services include but are not limited to: consultation, program design, organizational assessment and development, educational programming, materials development, and practice consultation.
Our 141-bed facility welcomes over 3,000 patients every year. As the designated acute care rehabilitation and orthopedic hospital, we welcome over 3,000 patients every year. Our surgeries take place in 6 operating rooms designed for orthopedic surgery combined with our efficient 7-bed Medical-Surgical Unit. Rehabilitation occurs in our innovative William Donald Schaefer Rehabilitation Center.

What You Need to Be Successful:
Licensure as a registered nurse or related health care discipline in the state of Maryland or eligible for licensure in Maryland.
American Heart Association CPR Instructor (or ability to attain).
Masters degree preferred.
Certification (OR or PACU ) preferred. BLS required. BLS instructor preferred.
A minimum of 3-4 years of clinical experience is in the OR or PACU. Education experience preferred.
A minimum of three years of experience in planning, implementing, and evaluating educational programming and services as they related to clinical practice are required.
Clinical and professional knowledge regarding current issues influencing health care delivery, quality management, training, and professional practice is required. Membership and active participation in a professional organization are preferred.
Knowledge regarding group dynamics, organizational change, and methodologies for effecting change through leadership is required.
