Job Description
Title: ABA Preschool Tutor
Reports to: Principal/Early Childhood Administrator
Position Summary:
The role of the ABA Preschool Tutor is to implement an intensive skills based program that is grounded in the principles of applied behavior analysis. This work is performed under the direct supervision of a Master’s Level Head Teacher with the support/guidance of a BCBA.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ensures the safety of all students;
- May be assigned as 1:1 in an integrated preschool or as a classroom ABA tutor; ? Incorporates specific ABA objectives into context of ongoing activities (if appropriate);
-Creates opportunities for generalization and maintenance of skills;
- Communicates with parents of case student communication log;
- Relays parent information to Head Teacher or Administrator;
- Maintains student notebook in neat and orderly manner;
- Maintains student-specific materials, reinforcers;
- Collects/Graphs/sums student data;
- Participates in preschool meetings/trainings;
- Requests meetings with Head Teacher, Specialists, and Administrators as needed;
-Meets with Head Teacher for MBO (Management by Objective);
-Supports Head Teacher with general classroom duties;
-Follows the guidance from the BCBA;
-Reviews progress on IEP goals;
-Participates in writing Progress Reports;
-Contributes to the development of the IEP;
-Supports students usage of accommodations and AAC devices
-Completes other assessments as prescribed by the Head Teacher or Administrator
- Maintains an appropriate level of confidentiality;
-Performs other job-related duties as assigned by the Head Teacher or Administrator.

Job Requirements
Qualifications:
-Meets the Department of Education Guidelines for Highly Qualified Paraprofessionals which includes:
-High School diploma or equivalent and an Associate’s (or higher) degree;
OR
Completion of 48 credit hours at an Institution of Higher Education; OR
Completion of one of the formal Massachusetts-endorsed Assessments: Parapro or WorkKeys;
-Bachelor’s degree preferred;
-Prior experience working with children;
-Background in special education or related experience working with special education students preferred
-Have a flexible attitude and work well in teams
-Must be the kind of person who is warm, caring, respectful, and have a strong desire to serve young children.
