**MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. is currently seeking an energetic, organized, and collaborative individual to serve as Academic Coordinator of the TRIO Student Support Services Program (TRIO SSSP). The Academic Coordinator will work closely with the Director of the TRIO SSSP to develop, plan, and implement high-quality services support services to increase the retention, graduation, and transfer success rates of 230 first-generation, low-income, and/or disabled students. The Academic Coordinator will collaborate with college departments and academic support services to coordinate tutorial support to meet the needs of TRIO SSSP participants. Additionally, the Academic Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating the Peer Mentor and Leadership Development initiative.

Plan, coordinate, and evaluate programmatic aspects throughout the academic year through the development and implementation of activities to support the persistence and success of TRIO SSSP participants.
Assist with marketing, recruitment, and selection of 230 eligible program participants.
Employ a strength-based approach, develop strong supportive relationships to increase motivation and a sense of belonging.
Access participants' needs, develop Individual Action Plans, and actively engage students in using services to improve their academic standing and enhance their retention, graduation, and transfer rates.
Monitor participants' academic progress, make referrals and take appropriate corrective actions.
Provide academic advising, educational planning, assistance in course selection, registration, and career pathway planning in collaboration with Career Development and Employment Services and other campus resources.
Develop and facilitate programming to promote academic and non-cognitive skill development
Identify students at risk of failing or dropping out and provide the appropriate intervention, and document outcomes;
Coordinate the tutorial and other academic support services of the program. Proactively collaborate with College-wide departments, faculty, tutors, and academic support staff
Coordinate Peer Mentoring and Leadership Development initiative. Including selection, supervision, training, services implementation, and evaluation.
Assist director with data collection, writing reports, and evaluation.
Contribute to the overall success of the program and the College by Other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Master's Degree in student personnel administration, higher education, education, psychology, or related field of study from a regionally accredited institution of higher education.
Demonstrated knowledge of student development theory and best practices for retention and student success in a college/university setting.
Demonstrated knowledge of academic, career, and advising principles and practices
Three to five year of demonstrated supervisory experience.
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience working with Blumen, Banner or similar student database system.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with students, faculty, and staff
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications
Successful experience working with adults from diverse backgrounds including economically and educationally disadvantaged college students.
Proven ability to establish rapport and build strong working relationship with students.
Experience coordinating tutorial and other academic support services in higher education setting.
Previous experience with Federal TRIO programs preferred.
