Mentor Teachers
Statement of Commitment
Being a mentor involves a serious time commitment during the school year. Please review the responsibilities below. By submitting an application for the position of mentor, you are committing to meeting these responsibilities.
Attend one day of New Teacher Orientation
Participate in district-designed online mentor training
Attend bi-monthly building based mentoring meetings
Coordinate bi-monthly building based mentoring meetings
Participate in ongoing professional collaboration with mentees
Communicate with mentors across the district for collaboration purposes
Assist in organizing twice-yearly Peer Observations to benefit new teachers
Compensation:
The mentor position will be compensated at the rate in appendix B of the SEA contract
This position is open to staff under the SEA contract
