Location: This position will be based at both Singleton and Bay Campus
This is a supporting and developing role within the Estates and Facilities Management Directorate. The post holder will assist in the delivery of Campus Services including the buildings services, learning spaces, cleaning, grounds and also supporting the wider teams in the delivery of sports, events and timetabling.  The post holder will be part of the Campus Services Team and will be required to work at Singleton and the Bay. There will be a requirement to work in the evenings and weekends and the role will include Duty Manager responsibilities. The post holder will be part of the Campus Services Management Team leading the Campus Services Operational Teams in delivering an outstanding customer experience, positively contributing to the success of the Directorate.
Main Purpose of the Post
To support the Senior and Operations Managers with the delivery of Operational Services at the Bay and Singleton and central services including Buildings Services, Grounds, Cleaning, Transport and Mail. To deputise in the absence of the line manager.
Contribute to the effective communication, liaison, and collaboration with client stakeholders and other service delivery teams to ensure the services support the operational needs of the University.
To work with the university service teams and Partners in the delivery of all services. To assist in the delivery of minor projects.
To assist in the development and the management of audit systems and procedures for services.
Manage stock and supply levels. Order as required to allow teams to complete their work.
To develop expertise and procedures for the different configurations of the Great Hall to include seating, staging, staffing, technical and catering. To be included in the duty management rota.
To provide assistance in planning and delivering of events at the Singleton and Bay Campus liaising with customers to ensure that their needs are met.
To provide specialist knowledge and experience in support service practices and processes including compliance with statutory regulations.
To understand Health and Safety legislation and practices ensuring a healthy and safe environment. To ensure all health and safety procedures are adhered to, risk assessments are up to date, safety and monitoring forms are completed and staff are appropriately trained.
