We are looking to appoint an appropriately qualified and experienced nurse to contribute to the delivery of teaching excellence for our nursing programmes. This is a full-time post with a focus on teaching and pedagogy, with some involvement in research and innovation. We welcome applications from people with expertise in all specialities. As an academic lecturer in nursing, you will have current registration on the NMC Professional Register with post qualifying clinical experience. A teaching qualification is preferable (or be willing to work to achieve this upon successful appointment).
The successful candidate will demonstrate effective skills to support trainee nurses and/or nursing associates to have a clear vision of the future nurse, contributing to safe person-centred care and to meet the NMC standards for registration. The role includes designing and delivering education and assessment through blended learning and using simulation.
We offer foundation and undergraduate degrees and are in the process of developing our postgraduate and CPD portfolio for student nursing practitioners. If you are ready to develop your existing skills and provide research-based education for students, from diverse backgrounds studying a nursing degree in order for them to make a positive impact, then we would welcome your application.
This position will involve working with children and/or vulnerable adults and any appointment will be subject a Disclosure and Barring Service check.
