Job Description:
Franklin & Marshall College (F&M) seeks a relational, dynamic and detail-oriented professional for this Associate Director of Associate Director of Student Engagement, Fraternity & Sorority Life opportunity. Housed within F&M's centrally-located Office of Student Engagement, this visible and impactful role will re-conceive, design, and provide strategic and operational leadership for the College's Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life, with the goal of fostering a vibrant, inclusive and socially-impactful Greek community. The Associate Director will also facilitate social event registration and supporting training while partnering with relevant stakeholders on the upkeep and maintenance of fraternity and sorority facilities and other managed spaces. Finally, as capacity allows, the Associate Director will support colleagues in the Office of Student Engagement and Leadership facilitating campus wide programs that foster pride, traditions and community.
Essential Functions:
Provide strategic and operational leadership for the College's Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life aligned with current and innovative best practices in the field of fraternity and sorority advising. This includes responsibility for the ongoing advisement, leadership development and general administration for all Greek-letter organizations, honor societies, Panhellenic Council and Interfraternity Council, including, for example, mentoring and guiding them on their activities, positions, membership recruitment activities, risk management, hazing education, membership education, and leadership development initiatives.
Maintain strong and effective relationships and regular communication with chapter advisers, advisory boards, alumni and national headquarters, while also partnering with relevant campus stakeholders on the upkeep and maintenance of fraternity and sorority houses and other managed spaces.
Manage the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life's website, communications and marketing (e.g. emails, social media, etc.), and budgets, including expenditures, reconciliation, and fiscal planning while preparing reports, proposals and recommendations in compliance with inter/national governance requirements, chapter standards, and relevant policies and best practices.
Oversee the registration process and provide educational training on social event management for students in and beyond those participating in Greek Life, working with campus and community partners to ensure current policies and procedures align with best practices on creating safe social environments and positive neighborhood and community relations.
Hire, train, and oversee a team of student workers to support the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life's operations.
Partner with colleagues in the Office of Student Engagement and Leadership in facilitating campus wide programs that foster pride, traditions and community as capacity allows.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree is required.
Direct involvement and/or working experience with fraternity and sorority life is required.
Experience in managing budgets and event coordination preferred.
Experience creating a welcoming environment for diverse student populations and facilitating community development programming and initiatives preferred.
Experience in creating partnerships with and working creatively and effectively with broad constituencies.
Familiarity and experience using Microsoft Office, Google Suite and social media platforms.
Willingness to maintain a flexible schedule as needed, to accommodate evening and weekend programs.
