Job Description:
Fulfills the mission of **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. by contacting and cultivating prospective students and applicants by telephone, mail, text, and email; traveling to college fairs; conducting briefings on the college application process; interviewing and counseling prospective students and families; as well as managing and evaluating admissions applications. The position provides supervision to other members of the admissions team and/or to critical processes necessary within the cultivation and recruitment of an incoming class.
Essential Functions
Supervises of a caseload of approximately 2,500 prospective students.
Maintains communication with all students, on a bi-weekly or monthly basis by utilizing various communication methods including, but not limited to: phone calls, emails, and text messages.
Oversees application management to include gathering information for incomplete files; preparing completed applications; makes decisions on student applicants and cultivating transfer, residential masters, and non-degree seeking applicants.
Communicates with faculty members enrollment goals and initiatives for strategic student populations.
Communicates with students and families about the various aspects of the college search/decision process including, but not limited to: financial aid, billing, academics, lifestyle, athletics, and student interest clubs.
Counsels and advises students about financial aid eligibility, financial aid application procedures, aid programs, costs, and indebtedness.
Ensures that all visiting students and families have a pleasant and informative visit to campus by supporting the success of various student-visit programs through conducting information sessions, campus tours, one-on-one interviews, virtual events, and collaborating with a wide variety of departments and offices across campus.
Represents the University at on and off-campus events including open houses, regional events, and academic showcases and strategic high school visits.
Plans and executes travel, to include college fairs, classroom presentations and individual meetings with applicants, often including some nights and weekends.
Develops and manages a marketing plan for on-campus master's programs, transfer students, and non-degree seeking students.
Supervises, trains, and evaluates admission staff members and/or student workers regarding transfer and master's student populations.
Supervises critical processes within application recruitment, management and enrollment of the inbound class, specifically focused on transfers, non-degree seeking students and master's students.
Assists in the development, maintenance and execution of the admissions office's recruitment, communication, and marketing plan with the purpose of promoting the College's visibility and general recruitment efforts for on-campus master's programs, non-degree seeking students and transfer students.
Assists in developing promotional materials, email marketing and other communications to prospective and admitted master's, transfer and non-degree seeking students.
Directs compilation of data and statistics for preparation of reports and projections on transfer, master's and non-degree seeking students.
Establishes and maintains communications with partner junior military colleges and colleges/universities that the University has articulation agreements with to develop a lead source for potential transfer students.
Other Functions
Assesses the performance of direct reports and provides frequent feedback to optimize their performance.
Maintains confidentiality of sensitive or private information.
Communicates with employees, students, and others in a respectful and clear manner.
Serves on University committees, councils, workgroups or other designated bodies as assigned.
Achieves, maintains proficiency in, and utilizes computers, telephones, and other job-related equipment, including related systems and software.
Speaks, reads and writes in English.
Communicates by telephone, email, letter, in person, or other means or device.
Performs other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree required; Masters preferred
3 years of Admissions/Recruitment experience required; prior supervisory experience a plus
Strong interpersonal and communications skills (both written and oral), presentation experience, sales/marketing skills, ability to handle multiple priorities and the ability to work as a member of a team in a fast-paced environment
Military experience, military school experience or ROTC experience(s) a plus, but not required
A valid driver's license is required
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, SharePoint, Teams, and Outlook)
Able to sit, squat, reach, push, pull, and manipulate related equipment; lift 20 pounds; travel outdoors to various parts of the campus
Work some evening or weekend hours
Travel as needed (public or private transportation)
Environmental Conditions
Indoor work at a computer workstation.
Low level of exposure to noise, dust, fumes, vibrations and temperature changes.
