Job Goal:
To support students and teachers in assessing students whose behavior is significantly interfering with the learning environment, and to create and facilitate the implementation of reserch-based Bahavior Intervention Plans.
Responsibilities:
Conduct Funcional Behavior Assessments for students who have significant behavior concerns.
Create Behavior Intervention Plans for students, including sytems for data collection.
Monitor, assess effectiveness, and adjust behavior plans based on data collected.
Participation in building level Student Support Team Meetings, Case Conferences, and MTSS Meetings as necessary.
Consult with teachers, deans, counselors, and administrators around general classroom management and specific behavioral supports.
Provide consultation and professional development for teachers and staff on the implementation of BIPs, data collection, and progress monitoring techniques.
Provide consultation and recommendations to parents regarding behavioral issues to increase consistency between home and school.
Particiate in required and other job-related professional development activities to improve or maintain certification/skills.
Qualifications:
Current BCBA credentials through the Behavior Analyst Certification
Board
Graduate degree from accredited college or university
Relevant DESE Educator Licensure
DESE SEI endorsement License required
