About the Department of Sociology:
Criminology is a major in the Sociology Department at **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***.. The Department seeks to be a learning community of students and scholars who apply a sociological imagination to understand the social world in order to think creatively about how to apply that knowledge to the solution of social problems. We seek to create classroom spaces in which sociological knowledge is pursued with rigor and with respect for the distinct insights that come with our diverse student population.
Job Description:
We currently have openings in 2023-24 for adjunct Criminology faculty to teach the following courses:
CRIM 2510 Criminology
CRIM 3111 Policing
CRIM 3212 Criminal Law & Procedures
CRIM 3313 Prisons & Corrections
Additional Information
: Ideally, one candidate will be able to teach all four courses over the three academic quarters of 2023-24. If that is not possible, the department is willing to consider alternative ways of covering the courses.
Requirements:
*Doctorate or ABD in Criminology or Sociology (with a specialization in Criminology)
*Commitment to teaching Criminology through a society-focused lens
*Commitment to developing a classroom learning community.

Compensation and Benefits:
Salary: $782-$1017/credit.
Faculty salaries at **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. are based on nationally-normed, regionally-adjusted, and discipline-specific data from the College and University Professional Association for Human Resources (CUPA-HR). Specific salary offers will be determined by the level of education and years of relevant experience.
