Job Description:
CityU School of Education and Leadership Doctor of Education in Leadership program is seeking a qualified Associate Faculty for the course below. Faculty must be able to teach the course online or online synchronous. Additionally, faculty must be available on an as needed basis to provide candidates support in CTE specific topics and assignments embedded in educational leadership core coursework throughout the year.
CityU's Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Leadership program offers working professionals the opportunity to develop advanced skills in strategic thinking, critical analysis, change management, adult learning, international education, and organizational development.
Course Summary:
EEA 520 Technology for School Leaders (3 cr)
This course introduces candidates to technology literacy and applications in order to find, evaluate, and apply information to inform and improve student learning and teacher pedagogy. Candidates use digital tools to gather, evaluate, and use information in order to plan and conduct quality research, manage projects, solve problems, and make informed decisions. Applications include an electronic portfolio, instructional and curricular decisions, research and assessment, assistance to teachers, and the impact of technology on school and societal change.

Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. An earned Master's degree from an accredited university in related fields.
Online instruction experience.
Demonstrated ability to provide a learning experience that links application with formal learning and adult learning theory.
Ability to work in a team-oriented system, deal effectively with professional staff, other part-time faculty, adult and culturally diverse students.
Demonstrated ability to be culturally responsive and support the learning needs of each individual student, promote the diverse strengths of each student, and provide equitable access and support for each student's achievement of course objectives and outcomes.
Demonstrated ability to accommodate students' academic language ability levels and cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
Demonstrated ability to model equity pedagogy.
Experience using Blackboard Academic Suite with standardized course content preferred.
Experience in higher education setting with a diverse, global audience preferred.
Experience with technology integration with course content preferred.

Salary:
The Part-time Teaching Faculty salary is based on the level of course (graduate, undergraduate, doctoral) and the number of course credits (1-5).
